Lutherans join thousands of marchers marking the milestone 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion by participating in the national “March for Life” in Washington, D.C., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. More than 55 million babies have been aborted since the decision. Events on the day of the march include an LCMS Divine Service of worship at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Va. LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison will deliver the sermon. The march begins afterward at the National Mall and concludes at the U.S. Supreme Court building.
